LEVA HARLAN.
Mrs. Leva Harlan was born in Paris Linn Co., Sept. 8, 1860, daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Landis, now deceased, and died at her late home in this city Friday morning Feb. 23. She had a long struggle with that much dreaded disease consumption, being confined to her bed for about eight months. She was married to Mr. H.L. Harlan, May 19, 1879, who with a family of young children is left to mourn the loss of her. The youngest of these is an infant, too young to realize her loss in full. On account of this the mother felt reluctant to go at first, yet she confided them to her God and to human care at last.
On Monday funeral services were held at the Baptist church of which the deceased had been for several years a member, participated in by Revs. Gonzales and Smith, and attended by many sorrowing relatives and friends.
