Frank was married twice. His first wife was Ann Eliza Heaworth who was born Dec 1858 in Holliston, Middlesex Co., MA. They were married in Holliston on 5 Nov 1879 and they had two children: Eva Eleanor Phipps b. 24 Sep.1882 and Amos F. Phipps b 2 Aug. 1885

OBIT:

Graveside services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Santa Paula Cemetery for Frank Wesley Phipps, 94, a resident of Santa Paula for 33 years. The Rev. William H. Clark will officiate.

Mr. Phipps died Tuesday afternoon [August 25] after a brief illness. He made his home in Santa Paula at 234 ½ N. Tenth Street. Born Feb 9, 1859, in Holliston, Mass., he came to California in 1907 and settled in Santa Paula in 1920. His wife, Mary, whom he married in 1922, died in 1942. A son also preceded him in death.

Mr. Phipps was a carriage painter in Massachusetts and an automobile painter in anta Paula before his retirement. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eva P. Cook, Milford, Mass.; and two step daughters, Mrs. Mabel Fix Burns and Mrs. Mildred Fix Lee, both of Hollywood.

The Edwin C. Bixby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
