Alice Prescott was born October 8, 1918 to Charles and Elnora Clemintine Roberts Prescott in Englewood, KS. Her brother and sister were Harold R. Prescott, and Hallie Turner. She married Lynn Carl Allen, June 10, 1942 in Ponca City, OK, where she worked for Continental Oil Company as a key punch operator. Following the end of WWII, Alice and Lynn established their home in Englewood, KS, and then a few years later to the Allen farm near Rosston, OK. Their children were Janet Lynn Smith, (Mrs. Thomas M) of Laverne, OK, and Roger Carl Allen of Ponca City, OK.

Alice was a homemaker, and bookkeeper for her husband's well service company. She helped on the family farm and dairy until 2003. She loved music, and was the organist for the Rosston United Methodist Church for over 35 years. She helped organize The Laverne Community Concerts. Alice enjoyed knitting baby caps and cross stitch pictures. Gardening, Cooking, attending local basketball games with friends, and attending Ditch Valley community events were special for her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and many friends. She never forgot a birthday and Christmas Holidays at her home were very special. Alice moved to Ponca City in 2003 to be near family. Using the computer to email her extended family and friends at the age of 91 was a joy for her. She attended Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son Roger C. and Lelia Sue Allen, Ponca City, OK, grandchildren Dana and Eric Wheeler, Camas WA, Loren and Tracy Smith, Cheyenne, OK, Bartt and Andrea Smith, Buffalo, OK, Alicia Allen, Plano, TX, Matthew Allen, Conroe, TX, Lacey Allen, Ponca City, OK. Great grandchildren are Andy, Yvonne, Shanel and Zack Wheeler, Camas WA, Taylor and Cody Smith, Newkirk, OK. Step grandchildren, Tristan, Tawni, Hadley Smith, Cheyenne, OK, Peyton and Kaitlyn Smith of Buffalo, OK, Sister-in-law Marjorie Gorden, Katy, TX. Nephew and nieces are Robert and Kathryn Prescott, Ponca City, OK, Charlene and Jere Harlan, Albuquerque, NM, Dr Charles and Marsha Prescott, Portolo Valley, CA, Berna Dene Mathis, Austin, TX, Roberta and Jim Glenn, Houston, TX, Dennis and Jennifer Turner, Sunrise Beach, TX, Dennis and Nancy Gorden, Katy, TX, Joyce and Jim Lobb, Tyler, TX, Neil and Linda Allen, Elizabeth, CO, Linda and Earl Gruer, Shelton, WA.

She was preceded in death by husband Lynn C. Allen, daughter Janet L. Smith, Parents Charles and Elnora Prescott, brother Harold and sister-in-law Norma Prescott, sister Hallie and brother –in-law Ralph Turner.
