Scott City--"Robert A. Turley, 90, Scott City, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

"He was born Dec. 22, 1910, in Gove County, the son of Robert A. and Mary (Borst) Turley. He was a resident of Scott County since 1928, having moved from Gove County. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Scott City.

"He married Erma Katherine Cranmer of June 1, 1938, in Scott County. She died Sept. 28, 1999 in Scott City.

"Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Tina Turley, Modoc; three brothers, Willie Turley, WaKeeney, Clarence Turley, Scott City, and Ralph Turley, Ava, Mo; three sisters, Dorothy Blume and Vanna Hatler, both of Scott City, and Elsie Wren, Marietta, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother and sister.

"Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Scott City, with the Rev. Lynne Smith officiating. Burial will be at Scott County Cemetery."
