Clarence Douglas Hutchins, Sr, 64, died Aug. 10 at Veterans Administration Hospital at Dallas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Atkins and Eugend Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery.
Hutchins was born in Maypearl on Dec. 29, 1923, and was reared in Maypearl. A member of the First Baptist Church of Maypearl, he was a member of the Disabled Veterans Chapter 157 at Arlington. He was retired from LTV.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae; his mother, Mary Hutchins of Birmingham, Ala.; 3 sons, Doug Hutchins of Dallas, Tommy Hutchins of Maypearl and Johnnie Hutchins of Stephenville; a daughter, Sherry Creech of Maypearl; 2 brothers, Hershel Hutchins of Birmingham, Ala., and Joe Lee Hutchins of San Diego, Calif., a sister, Betty Jackson of Midland; and 6 grandsons.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.
