Saturday Funeral Set For 47-year Resident

Funeral services for Fred B. White, 87, of 5303 N. Broadway, who died Thursday in a local hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cochran Mortuary. The Rev. Alvin A. Harms, pastor of Riverview Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Born Feb. 1, 1870, at Bridgeport, Kan., Mr. White came to Wichita from Norwich, Kan., 47 years ago. He operated a battery and generator service shop here for several years. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, Molly, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Howland, of the home; three sons, W. L., 2045 Payne, Walter, 4510 S. Broadway, and Cecil, Pomona, Calif.; a brother, Thomas, Lawrenceburg, Ind.; and nine grandchildren.
