The following- Why Am I Here- was written by Carl Kiplinger as a young adult.
I have spent part of my life in canvassing goods of small value or most anything to get the money from people. After I was converted I tried to make my wrongs right as far as I could but it was impossible to go over all of the country I had canvassed so I went to God in prayer and He said all He would require of me for my past dishonest work was for me to canvass the Word of God.
Now, that is the reason I am here as a peddler of Bibles and religious books. I have some books and tracts to loan or give to those who cannot buy.
"I counsel thee to buy of me, gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich." Revelation 3:18

Carl continued to pass out Christian tracts throughout the rest of his life. He worked at many different jobs to provide for his family. He did some preaching, also and loved to play the harmonica. As an elderly man, he was asked if he would be interested in playing the harmonica on television. He declined the offer because he was told he would not be able to play any of the Christian songs he loved.
