Rites Set
On Tuesday


Funeral services for Luther Albert York, retired mechanic and blacksmith, Sayre, who died at the Sayre hospital Sunday following an extended illness, will be held Tuesday, at the Lone Oak Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert Whitaker and Rev. R. F. Gates officiating.

Born December 1, 1887 at Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mr. York was married April 21, 1920 to Leona King at Mineral Wells, Texas. He came to Sayre in 1941 to make his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors are his wife of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Ozelle Witcher, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Jane Niblett, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Nancy Atwood, and Mrs. Bobby Livingston both of Sayre; four son, Dell, Buck and Bill, all of Sayre, Lonnie, Liberal, Kansas; 24 grand children; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Blanch Harison,(sic) Sayre, Bessie Foster, Dalhart, Texas; three brothers, W. H. York, Durham, Claude York, Leveland,(sic) Texas, Ernest York, Livermore, California.

Pall bearers will be Robert Sp-urlin, Jasper Brewer, Erwin Bal-dwin, Jake Sweet, D. A. Draper, Jim Lowrance.

Interment will be in the Lone Oak cemetery with Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
