Tommy Owen Clark was born in Mooreland on May 27, 1935; he was the son of Ormal and Easter Clark. He attended several rural schools and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1954. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army, serving in Radio Communications. He was married to Corrilla Lou Lewis on August 2, 1958 in Woodward. They made their home in Augusta, Georgia for six months before making their home in Mooreland. He was the first pipeliner employed by the Natural Gas Pipeline Company when they moved to Mooreland. He also was a farmer and rancher and in August of 1980, they moved to their farm southeast of Mooreland.
Tom died late Friday, August 18, at his home at the age of 54.
Survivors include his wife, Corrilla, of the home, two daughters, Jacqueline Newton and husband, Carl, Cherokee, OK; LaNett Clark, Las Vegas, Nevada; one son, Tommy O. Clark, Jr., Dallas, TX; one sister Lora Mae Harper, Mooreland and three grandchildren, Rachael, Timothy and Stacie Newton. He is also survived by Donna Lewis, John Lewis, Kathy and Terry DeBock, Paula and Rick Hopkins, Mark and Marsha Holloway and Lorie Holloway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant sister, Naomi, and two brothers, Alfred and Albert.
