Greenwood SC - July 30, 1943 - Mrs. Ida Carter Ouzts, 48, wife of Stacy B. Ouzts died unexpectedly this morning at her home near Hodges. Mrs Ouzts a native of Dillard County, GA, a daughter of Roxy Anna Beck Carter of Whittier NC and the late Thomas B. Carter of Dillard County. In addition to her father and mother, three sons and two daughters survive , Stacy Carter Ouzts, Mrs. W. E. Chaplain, Jr., Milton R. Ouzts of Charleston; Henry Winiford Ouzts, and Miss Elizabeth Ouzts, Hodges; five brothers, Weaver Carter, Westmill NC; Jesse Carter, Shelley ID; Joe Carter, San Jaun PR; John Carter, Elberton GA; Thomas Carter, Lowndesville SC; one sister, Mrs. D. J. Ricker, Cape May NJ; and three grandchildren.
