DEATH'S CALL TO AN EARLY PIONEER
George Ralston Dies At Home Near Caledonia At The Age Of 84
George Ralston, one of the oldest and best known residents in the vicinity of Caledonia, died this morning at 9 o'clock at his home, about two miles northwest of that village.
His death was due to paralysis. He suffered a second stroke last Wednesday since which time he had been in a critical condition.
The deceased was 84 years of age. He was born in Scotland but had made this country his home during the greater part of his life. He had been a resident of the vicinity of Caledonia for about 50 years.
Mr. Ralston owned a farm of about 200 acres in which he had resided for about 40 years.
He is survived by the widow and five children. He also leaves three daughters [sisters] living near Caledonia and one residing in Colorado.
Mr. Ralston has been a member of the Willow Creek Presbyterian church ever since locating in that vicinity. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
