Memorial services for Gregory Dale Heimbigner, 58 will be held at 11 a.m. at Zion-Philadelphia Conrgregational Church in Ritzville. Interment will be at the Ritzville Cemetery. Mr. Heimbigner died Friday. He was a resident of Airway Heights for 30 years. Born in Ritzville, he graduated for RHS and also attend Spokane Community College. He served in the Air Force, Air National Guard-Ace of Spades and Army Guard from 1966 to 1988. He served three tours of duty in Vitenam. He was a tech/platoon segeant, munitions specialist, weapons loader, security police, helicopter gunner, aircraft mechanic and inflight refueling specialist. Mr. Heimbigner was awarded multiple awards and medals including the Bronze Star and a medal for humanitarian service. He was a self-employed landscaper for 25 years. He was a member of Spokane Garden Club and Spokane Master Gardeners. His hobbies included, canning, panning for gold, hunting and fishing. He received the Leadership Award as Spokane Men's Garden Club president from 1980 to 1981. Survivors are a daughter, a son,, his parents and three brothers (Names deleted for privacy).
