"DIED: Near Newburg, Friday, September 22d, 1899, MRS. MARTHA EVANS, wife of Rev. T.S. Evans – aged 77 years. ‘Aunt Martha' has been an invalid for several years, but able to be up a good deal of the time. On Friday morning she said she felt better than she had for sometime, and stirred around the premises till noon. She sat down to dinner (lunch) but soon complained of a strange tingling in her hands, when, the family discovered her sinking and removed her to the bed where she expired about 4 o'clock that evening." From the sounds of it, it appears she had a heart attack.
