Rank D. Hall, aged 47, of Fort Wayne, died very unexpectedly of apoplexy Friday afternoon at one o'clock at his home. He had been in ill health for a year, but had continued with his business as proprietor of a meat market in Fort Wayne, which he had maintained for eighteen years. He was at work when the stroke overcame him about 10:30 o'clock that morning. Rank D. Hall was born near Ossian in 1888, a son of David and Sarah Hoover Hall. He later lived in Ossian and was educated in the schools of this place. He was united in marriage to Gaynell Keefer, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Keefer, and for many years had resided in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Hall survives, with three daughters and one son, who are Mrs. Wanda Gilbert and the Misses Eileen and Rosa Lee Hall, all of Fort Wayne and Don D. Hall, an Indiana university student. There is one grandson, Billy Gilbert. Two sisters and a brother are living, Mrs. O. M. Merriman of Whiting, Ind., Mrs. Charles I. Weirich and Robert A. Hall, of Fort Wayne. Mr. Hall was a member of the first M. E. church, of Fort Wayne. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence, 2824 South Hanna street, Fort Wayne, the Rev. Charles H. Smith officating. Burial was made in Oak Lawn cemetery at Ossian.

Former Ossian Man is Stricken Fatally at Fort Wayne

Rank D. Hall, 47, a former resident of Ossian, proprietor of a meat market at 1926 South Calhoun street, Fort Wayne, for the last 18 years, died suddenly Friday afternoon at his home at 2824 South Calhoun street in that city.Death was attributed to cerebral hemorrhage. He was stricken at 10:30 a.m. Friday while he was at work and was taken to his home.Survivors include the widow, Gay K.; a son, Don D. Hall, a student at Indiana university; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Gilbert and the Misses Eileen and Rosa Lee Hall, all of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Charles I. Weirich of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. O. M. Merriman, of Whiting, and a brother, Robert Allen Hall, of Fort Wayne.Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, Dr. Charles H. Smith officiating. Burial will be at Ossian.Mr. Hall was a member of the First M. E. church of Fort Wayne.
