Mildred Lent Alexander, Chisago City, died last Saturday, July 28 at Chisago Lake Hospital. She was 63.

Mrs Alexander. Who entered the hospital a week ago today, had undergone malignantsurgery Texas last winter.

Funeral services were held yesterday at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City with Rev A. N. Campbell officiating.

Casket bearers were Clifford Kasl, Byron Grandstrand, Terry Johnston, Donald Dickey, Harlan Vitalis and Walter Wennel. The organist was Phil Volkman, Jim Hastings was the vocal soloist.

Mrs Alexander was born June 7, 1916 to Freida and William Lent of Wyoming. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church there. She attended school both in Wyoming ad the Chisago Lakes area.

After attending St. Cloud Teachers College, she taught for two years at Almelund, two years in Sacred Heart and 13 years in the Chisago Lakes School system.

In 1940 she married Malcom Alexander. The couple made their home in the Shafer community where a daughter Lorelei (Mrs. Monte Lovig of Minnetonka and a son Gary of Chisago City were born.

The Alexanders were members of First Lutheran Church of Taylors Falls where Mildred was Sunday School superintendent for many years.

The Alexanders moved to Annandale in 1969, returning to Chisago City in 1972. They spent their winters in Texas due to Malcom's ill health.

Besides her husband, son and daughter, Mrs. Alexander is survived by si grandchildren, one brother Paul of Scandia, 4 sisters in the Twin Cities- Helen(Mrs. Mike Gabrick, Pearl (Mrs. Ed Henrich), Lucile (Mrs. Herman Heuer and Gertrude (Mrs. Walter Radtke).
