Brian Willis Duncan, 34, of Kermit passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at the home of his grandmother, Faye Harper with whom he resided with. He was born in South Williamson, KY on April 10, 1976. Brian was a loving father to his only baby girl, Lila. Brian was the beloved son of Linda and Billy Chapman of Beauty and Willis and Debbie Duncan of Naugatuck. He was the grandson of Faye Harper and Mageldine Carter. Brian was the brother of Melinda Blankenship and Angel Chapman. He has a special brother in law and friends, Jonathan Duncan and Moses Aliff. Also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ernest Harper, Charles Ross, Sr, and Willis Duncan; grandmothers, Rebecca Duncan and Clara Reynolds; sister, Sara Chapman and niece, Alexis Chapman.
Brian graduated from Tug Valley High School and Mayo Vocational School. He loved to hunt, but he spent his last two years just being Lila's daddy. She was his whole world. Brian will definitely be missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral services will be 12 PM Thursday, June 10th, 2010 at the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Our Angels Gardens Cemetery at Beauty. Palbearers will be family and friends. Brother Tim McCoy, Walter Marcum and Tom Canterbury will officiate. Friends may visit the church from 6-10PM Tuesday and all day Wednesday. Arrangements are by the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Inez.
