Funeral services for J. R. Palmertree of the Poplar Creek Community will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, at Bethany Church of God near Poplar Creek, with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Dr. Duran Palmertree and Rev. James Green will officiate the services.
Visitation will be on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Church of God.
Mr. Palmertree, 79, died of heart failure at his residence on Friday, June 4. He was a farmer and a member of Bethany Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late J. B. and Elma Gooden Palmertree.
Survivors include his sisters, Erna Lee Williams of French Camp, Geneva Williams of Kilmichael, Judy Clark of Kilmichael and Iren Birchett of Belleville, IL; brothers, Bo Palmertree of Kilmichael adn Johnny "Buck" Palmertree of Whitfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
