For years Clarence's father, Owen Bemis Curtis, and Clarence carried the mail between Victor, Idaho and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Clarence was killed in a snow slide on the Teton Pass while attempting to carry the U.S. Mail through, which was extremely hard and hazardous in the early days.
