Otus Garwood Lippincott was the oldest child of Oliver W Lippincott, a Methodist minister and his wife Nora Lippincott. Otus' younger siblings were as follows:
Fern Lippincott, b abt 1894
Ira T. Lippincott, b abt 1897
Olin Lippincott, b abt 1899, and
Frances Violet Lippincott, b abt 1902
Otus was married to Miss Grace Moss on January 26, 1918. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Lieutenant during World War I. He later was a member of Company F, of the 133rd Infantry in Iowa.
Their son, who was known as Garwood, was killed in an accident while on active military duty as an Navy Ensign in the Canal Zone, Panama.

The resting place of Grace Moss Lippincott is yet to be determined.
