F. Lyndon (Shorty) Hess, 63, 1616 15th St., Parkersburg, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Sunday morning.
He was born in Pennsboro, son of Oliver Kenneth and Wanda L. Dotson Hess, Sr. He was self-employed in the Pennsboro area and retired in 1984 after 20 years with Dils Motor Co. in Parkersburg.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda C. Wiedenfeld Hess; one son, Joseph (Jay) Hess, Parkersburg; an honorary daughter, Debbie Garber, Parkersburg; one brother Oliver K. (Okie) Hess, Washington, WV; four grand-children and one honorary grandson.
Services were Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Entombment was at the Sunset Memory Gardens in the Mausoleum.
