Pauline was the youngest daughter of "Addie" and "Jake" Allinger of Stevenson, Washington. She was first married to Franklin Josiah "Frank" Royce/Royse who died shortly after returning from service in World War II. He was injured in a logging accident, surviving about two weeks, before the injuries claimed his life. She and "Frank" had two sons. Pauline later married "Ted" Laurent and together they had one daughter.
