Ann Mariah Redd was born 26 July 1830 to John Hardison and Elizabeth Hancock Redd at Snead's Ferry, Onslow North Carolina.
Ann Mariah was eight years old when her parents moved to Tennessee, and she was twelve years of age when her parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She was nineteen years old when they moved again to Utah.

She married Wilson Daniel Pace On August 22. 1852 in the fort at Spanish Fork, Utah. It was the first marriage performed in that little settlement, and they were married by William Pace, Wilson's father. They lived there for ten years.
They were called by the church to settle in southern Utah.They arrived in 1862.
They had twelve children: four of them Mary Mariah, Sarah Caroline, Almarene and Francel Marene (the last two were twins), died in infancy.

Margaret Elizabeth, William Wilson, Lemuel Alexander, Clarisa Ann, Keziah Eveline, Iraminda and Icvinda and John Granville all grew up and married.
Ann Mariah was called and set apart to be the midwife of the area. She carried on that work for thirty-five years.
On March 28, 1878 Ann Mariah was asked to be the President of the Relief Society in New Harmony. She held that position until 27 March, 1907.
She died 29 November, 1908 in New Harmony.
