BLECHA William Penn, 94, of OKC, died May 3, 1989. Born March 30, 1895, in Okla. Territory. He retired after many years as construction superintendent for Manhattan Construction Co. Mr. Blecha was a graduate of Draughon's Business College. He actually worked as a calculus genius in his younger years. He served as paymaster for the Millers Brothers, owners of the 101 Ranch, who owned their own commissary and printed their own money for payroll and use on the ranch. Bill was in Costa Rica mining for gold at the time WWI was declared. He returned to California and enlisted in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal. Survivors include a daughter, Willia Dee and husband, R.H. George of OKC; granddaughter, Dr. Lynda Margaret Faires of Boulder, Co.; grandson, Captain William R. George and wife, Tammy of West Germany; great grandchildren, Rachel Faires of Boulder, Co. and Melinda George of West Germany. Services 10am Saturday, Bill Merritt Bethany Chapel.
