Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Jeffery Loseke officiating. Burial will be at the St. Michael's cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Monday, at church, from 3-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at church one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Pallbearers will be Brock Foxhoven, Justin Foxhoven, Trent Schieffer, Braston Maibaum, Jim Loecker, and Andy Jueden. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Galen's friends and family.
Galen Patrick Jueden was born on November 29, 1961 in Osmond, NE to Robert Eugene and Carol (Lowin) Jueden. He grew up in the Hartington area and graduated from Hartington Public High School in 1980. He married Gerri Ann Foxhoven on May 29, 1982 in Constance, NE. Galen worked for Gayle Hochstein at Hartington Concrete and worked there until 1996 when he began working for the Lewis and Clark Natural Resources District.
Galen belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He helped with the Pheasants Forever Youth hunts, coached Derek and Kolby on their youth football team. He helped with the Hartington High Booster Club, loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. Galen enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Galen is survived by his wife Gerri; 4 sons, Travis and his wife Kelly Jueden and their son Ryland of Omaha, NE; Tyler Jueden and his fiancé Toshia Promes of Lincoln, NE; Derek Jueden and Kolby Jueden at home in Hartington; mother Carol Jueden of Hartington; 3 brothers and 4 sisters and spouses, Denise and Don Loecker of McCook, NE; Terry and Carmen Jueden of Hartington; Roger and Tami Jueden of Yankton, SD; Sheila and Dave Loecker of Fordyce, NE; Sharon and Bill Schaefer of Fordyce, NE; Mike and Lana Jueden of Hartington; and Lauri and Joe Maibaum of Crofton, NE; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister Dian and his father, Robert on November 24, 1993 at the age of 58 years.
