Helen Augusta Hineline, age 91, of Blair passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 1st, 2008, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Friday February 29th at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Following graveside services at the cemetery, please join the family for refreshments and fellowship at the Park View Manor Fellowship Hall.
Helen Augusta Hineline was born July 25th, 1916 to Otto and Lizzie (Christ) Mencke. She was united in marriage to Clyde (Hap) Hineline on January 31st, 1935. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County. Helen worked as a housekeeper at Dana college for 8 years and for Artex in Blair for nine years. She retired in 1980. Helen was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Eagles.
She is survived by daughter Janice and husband Jim Everts of Bainbridge Island, Washington, son-in-law, Perry Rief of Pacific Junction, Iowa, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Opal Warrick and sister-in-law Betty Carnes both of Blair, sister Norma Rapp of Benson, AZ, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde (Hap), daughter, Shirley Rief, brother Donald Mencke, sisters Gertrude Nelson, Emma Hartley, Minnie Thaden, Pearl Anderson, Sophie Hineline, Betty Brothers, Martha Cushman, Delores Kochner, and Barbara Aronson.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Memorial Community Hospital, Blair Rescue Squad or your favorite charity.
