Nancy A. Haines, 53, of Alpha, Il died Saturday June 5, 2010 in her home. Cremation has been accorded and Graveside services are 10:30 AM Friday at the Viola Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 PM Thursday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Memorials may be left to the Tri-County Ambulance Service, Oxford Township Fire District or the AlWood Food Pantry. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com
She was born January 26, 1957 in Joliet, Il a daughter of Glenn and Frances Kness Cooper. She graduated from AlWood High School, received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Blackhawk College and her B.S. from St. Francis University in Joliet. She married Robert D. Haines October 17, 1992 in Woodhull.
Nancy was employed at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for 24 years and was an EMT for Tri-County Ambulance for many years. She was of the Catholic Faith and enjoyed reading, fishing and wood working.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, 2 sons, Benjamin Cooper of Galesburg, Robert (Pamela) Haines Jr. of Fountain, CO, a grandson Dakota Haines of Fountain, her mother, Frances Cooper of Alpha, 2 sisters, Sue (Dan) Sperry of Alexis, Patty (Kevin) Krause of Woodhull, 2 brothers, David (Mary) Cooper of Alpha, Roger (Liz) Cooper of Woodhull, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her beloved dog, Gizmo. Her father preceded her in death.
