Funeral services for Robert Lamar Taylor, 41, were held Thursday, September 9, 1971, at 2:00 P.M. from Southern Chapel with the Rev. Joe Pipa officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery.
Taylor died Wednesday, September 8, in the Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a one day’s stay.
A native of Holmes County, Taylor was a grocery man in Tchula and member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gayle Taylor of Tchula’ six sons, R. R. Taylor, Jr., Michael C. Taylor, Thomas D. Taylor, Robert C. Taylor, James R. Taylor and Tim S. Taylor all of Tchula; one daughter, Paula Karen Taylor of Tchula; two brothers, Percy Taylor and Bluford Taylor both of Tchula.
Active pallbearers were; Denzell Sheppard, Wenzell Dickard, James Simmons, Tony Mansoor, B.T. Taylor, Jr., Bruce Taylor and J.R. Ables.
