A resident of St. Francisville, he died, Saturday, June 5, 2010, at his home. He was 89, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Crown Zellerbach Corp. with 25 years of service.

Visiting at First Baptist Church of St. Francisville, religious service, conducted by the Rev. Joe Ratcliff.
A Masonic service will follow.

Burial will be in Feliciana Cemetery, St. Francisville.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charlyne and Sam Vince; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marion O. and Penny Maxwell and Johnny & Kim Maxwell; a sister, Sue Miller; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Maudie Maxwell; a granddaughter, a grandson, six brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

He was a 50 year member of Feliciana Lodge 31 F&AM and a 50 year member of Crossett Lodge 576 F&AM. He was a longtime member of St. Albins Order of the Eastern Star 80 and a member of Wallers Chapel Methodist Church in Crossett, Ark.
