Upon seeing the picture of Frances' headstone, I realized I had, as many others had, her birthdate wrong. I assumed it 1848 because that is what everyone else had. But her birthdate was in 1851. I did another census search and in 1860 and I found a Frances Anderson in Buffalo, Perry Co., Pennsylvania USA and she is about the right age. She is living with her father, Jeremiah, and her mother, Catharine. Is this the right Frances Anderson? Well, they were living next door to some Liddick's! I think maybe it was Daniel Liddick's brother, William.

Further evidence that this is the right family is that in the 1860 cesus, Frances had a little brother named Julius. Frances and George's last born son was named Julius Jeremiah Liddick. Julius Jeremiah Liddick was confirmed through Christening records of Julius Liddick's sons found on familysearch.org. His nickname was 'Jewel'. I recently discovered more evidence that I had the right family as Mary C. Anderson Miller (sister) was living next door to George and France in the 1880 & 1885 census. Birth records of A couple of Mary's children say Mary's maiden was Anderson from Perry, PA. BINGO!

I sent for a death certificate for both Frances and George Liddick. I got a letter back stating that Iowa didn't start keeping death records until 1896 so therefore, they were unable to find a record for her. But cemetery records indicate her death date.
