Kathryn Mae Waddell was born July 6, 1919 to Joe and Stella (Thompson) Waddell in Trenton, MO. She Graduated from Oakville High School, Oakville, IA. Kathryn visited her sister in Hawarden where she met and married Clarence Carr on October 13, 1939 in South Sioux City, NE. Together they lived in Hawarden. Clarence died December 4, 1970. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Hawarden. Kathryn was actively involved in the restoration of Calliope Village. She was an avid collector of many items including over 500 plus dolls. Kathryn loved to bake and would provide many goodies to her grandson, Jeff's shop for all to sample.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Joe (Kathy) Carr of Townsend, MT; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; daughter, Judy Boe.
