Howard Scoggins, a longtime residence of Merced county went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2010. He was 71 years old.

Howard was born in Keota, Oklahoma on April 10, 1939 to Herbert and Ola Scoggins. He worked for over 51 years as a Farmer. Howard devoted his life to Jesus and to his family.He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Benziger.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Loretta Scoggins; five daughters; one son; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, CA. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery in Winton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
