Son of Alfred Glenn Fisher & Lora (Black) Fisher. Brother of Kenneth Fisher, Steven Fisher, James H. Fisher & Dorothy (Fisher) Beck. Husband of Lois Marie (Briesemeister) Fisher, [Married: June 26, 1948]. Father of James Fisher, Robert Fisher, John Fisher & Barbara (Fisher) Gilmore.
Mr. Fisher graduated from Edinburg High School in May of 1943, and worked until the end of World War ll at Moore Field, Mission, Texas in the Radio Repair Shop. In early September 1945, Mr. Fisher moved to Seguin, Texas and attended two years of college at Texas Lutheran College. Albert and Miss Lois Marie Briesemeister of Seguin were married at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin on June 26, 1948, and Albert was employed at United Gas Corporation in Seguin on December 28, 1948, as a helper in the Service Department.
Mr. Fisher's career with United Gas Corporation was at Seguin for one and one-half years, in La Grange, Texas for two and one-half years, in Laredo, Texas for ten years, in Houston for ten and one-half years and for twelve years in Nacogdoches, as District Operations Manager, and then returned to Houston as Manager of the Technical Gas Training Center. He retired on November 1, 1987, and then returned to his home in Nacogdoches in August of 1989.
Albert developed a passion as an Amateur Radio Operator, where he was known as Bert with call sign AC5Z. Albert was a life time member of the Nacogdoches Noon-Breakfast Lions Club. Albert also enjoyed the peace and quiet of the many forests in the East Texas Area.
