Akron Daily Democrat, Friday Evening, 29 December 1899:
"The funeral of Councilman Frank H. Thompson was held at his late residence, 124 Brown st., at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. A large concourse of friends were present including nearly all of the Erie yard and train men, by whom Mr. Thompson was held in high esteem. The members of the City Council and other city officials attended in a body. Dr. T.E. Monroe, pastor of the Congregational church, delivered the funeral address. The remains were interred in Glendale cemetery."
