"Margaret Burdette Seamon was born 9 Dec 1809 in Monroe County, (West) Virginia, daughter of Willis Burdette and Nancy Boone. She was a grand-daughter of John Boone, (b. 1755, soldier of the American Revolution), great-grandaughter of Israel Boone, and g-g-grandaughter of Squire Boone who came to America from England 1712; and also a grand-niece of Daniel Boone. While living in the home of Seldon and Nancy Hutchinson, she was able, at age ninety, to piece quilts without the aid of glasses,"
