Pub in the Paris News in Paris, TX on May 26, 1952 - MRS JOHN W GOOD - COOPER — Funeral services for Mrs. John W. Good. 72, who died Sunday will be held Tuesday at First Methodist Church here. Mrs. Good suffered a heart attack Saturday night in St. Joseph's Hospital, where she had been taken after injury in explosion of a gas stove at home, May 17. The blast threw her against the wall of her kitchen, and her hip was crushed. The funeral will be conducted by the Methodist pastor, the Rev. James E. Jones, and Delta Funeral Home will make burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Daughter of Volney C. and Adelaide (Bradley) Rattan, Mrs. Good was born at Goods Chapel, west of Cooper, March 3, 1880. She was married Feb. 4, 1900 to John William Good, who died in May of 1949. Survivors are these children: Eldred Good of Westmont, IL; H. B. (Bussey) Good of Paris; R. H. Good and Mrs. Owen Hooten of Cooper; 10 grandchildren; these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Myrtis Renfro of Dallas; Mrs. Ben Tippen of Paducah; W. M. Rattan of Memphis, TN, and Sterling P. Rattan of Cooper.
