Walter Allen Bennett Sr. of Flintville died Wednesday at his residence. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Milton Martin and the Rev. J.W. Atchley officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Tenn. in charge. Mr. Bennett, a native of Dallas, Texas, was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge 375 and the Eastern Star. He was retired from Custom Craft Company as a cabinet maker. Survivors include his wife, Letha Gault Bennett; a son, Walter A. Bennett Jr. of Eagleville, Tenn.; a daughter, Paula Tufano of Madison, Ala.; two sisters, Clara Moody and Mae Atkinson, both of Texas; and three grandchildren.
