Maxine M. Brownlow, 91, a longtime resident of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, died August 17, 2006, in East Wenatchee. She was born August 16, 1915, to Franklin and Laura Ellen (James) Ferrin in LaVerne, OK. She grew up in Tonasket, WA and graduated from Broadway High School in Seattle, WA in 1933. Maxine married Joseph Brownlow on March 28, 1937, at Lake Chelan, and the couple made their home in the Wenatchee area for the next 69 years.

This loving wife and mother is survived by her son, Blaine Brownlow and daughter-in-law, Henrietta of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Beryl Baker and son-in-law, Bill Baker of Bellevue, WA; daughter, Bonnie Van Ness and Ray Van Cleef of Breckenridge, CO; her grandchildren, Sean Baker of Bellevue, WA, Bradley Brownlow of Oakland, CA, Misty Fewel of Richland, WA, Laura Boreing of Mechanicsville, VA, John Van Ness of Boulder, CO, Joey Van
Ness of Breckenridge, CO and Christina Gorman of Raeford, NC; as well as Brooklyn, Rachel, Sarah, Hannah, Ryan, Benjamin, Bella and Carter, her beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gladys Brown of Tonasket, WA; and one brother, Lester Ferrin of Tonasket, WA.

Commemoration Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Telford's Chapel of the Valley.

Interment Service will follow at Wenatchee Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in her name to Tom Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, Wenatchee Valley College, 1300 Fifth Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
