Martin J. Henkel, 101, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Escanaba. He was the son of Martin and Elsbeth (Fluetsch) Henkel.
On June 25, 1937, he married Margie Rossow (d. Dec. 16, 1969). They had one daughter. He married June Lindgren (d. March 22, 2008). He spent most of his life as a woodsman. He enjoyed reading, friends and his church.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by a grandson and four stepchildren; one sister, Martin was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. One remaining brother and sister have now passed away.
