Sharron A. Bagwell was born October 1, 1939, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Wenatchee, WA to Tom and Nancy Bagwell. She went home with her parents to Stayman Flats, where she was raised. She, her cousins and neighbors crossed the Columbia River in a wooden row boat to attend kindergarten through the fourth grade. Sharron's grandfather, "Kap" Williamson, uncle, Frank Bagwell and father, Tom Bagwell, took turns, twice a day, rowing them back and forth to school. She graduated from Chelan High School in 1958. She then went to Beauty School at the Wenatchee Hair Academy, where she graduated in 1960. Sharron worked in Quincy for a year and a half. She then moved on to Fairbanks, AK with her cousin, Jane, where she lived and worked for five years. Returning to Wenatchee, she worked in the Valley until she retired. Sharron was a great beautician and made many friends, who were with her to the end. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for a year and a half. She was always upbeat and continued her life, enjoying luncheons with friends from Chelan. She loved her school reunions. Sharron enjoyed going to yard sales and loved to have them. She loved to read and never saw a book store that she didn't like. She also collected Thomas Kinkade.
Sharron is survived by her brother, Daniel (Lorraine) Bagwell of Northgate, WA; sisters, Lois McKenna and Bertha Swift of Wenatchee; two nieces, Shelly and Jean of East Wenatchee; and all of her loving friends, Penny Malikowski, Wayne and Judi Brown, Shirley and Richard Berquist, Wanda Burris, Ray and Marsha Cockle, Karl and Linda Dietrich, Dick and Diana Gordon and Debbie Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Nancy Bagwell; and a younger brother.
Her friends would like to thank her wonderful doctors, nurses and care givers, for all the love, kindness and health care she received at the Oncology Department. A special thanks to Doctor Mandy Robertson.
A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Fraternal Cemetery in Chelan, WA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
