G. Borden Fancy, 60, Lakeside,Halifax County, formerly of Westfield, Queens County, died September 16, 1995, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Westfield, he was a son of the late Clifford and Beulah (Frail) Fancy. He retired due to ill health in 1994 from H.W. Longuard Enterprises Ltd., and was a longtime member of Westfield United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Rita Pauline Emberly; daughter, Darlene (Mrs. K. Gerrard Baker), Pleasant River; son, Alister and wife Dawn, Hammonds Plains; sisters, Odessa (Mrs. Oliver Mansfield, Christine (Mrs. Dwight Mansfield), Westfield;
Mrs. Eleanor Hartlen, Oromocto, N.B.; twins, Jean (Mrs. Dennis Lovejoy), Portland, Maine and Joan (Mrs. Arnold Cameron), Harmony; Pauline (Mrs. Avery Uhlman), New Elm; Geraldine (Mrs. Eric Armstrong), West Caledonia; brothers, Elbert, Avery, Westfield; twin Basil, North Brookfield; Everette, North Brookfield; Eugene, Port Colborne, Ontario; Irving, Halifax; grandchildren, Jennifer and Amanda Fancy, Carl Baker; a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Elva Fancy, Amy Waterman; infant brother, Barry. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral 6 p.m. Wednesday in Westfield United Baptist Church, Pastor Hank Dixon officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Westfield. No flowers by request. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, or any charity.
