Ida Malwine Auguste Adrian was born November 26, 1883, in Krakow Township, Presque Isle, Michigan. Ida was the second youngest of twelve siblings born to Charles and Caroline (Klee) Adrian.

She was reborn a child of God through the sacrament of baptism on March 2, 1884 at St Michael Ev Lutheran Church, Belknap Township, by the Rev. Bruno Potzger. Her godparents were Carl Arlt, Friedrich Groening, and Luise Link. On August 23, 1897, Ida was confirmed at Immanuel Ev Lutheran Church in Alpena by the Rev. Kuechle. Her memory verse for life is 1 Timothy 4:8.

In 1900, Ida's is one of only three siblings still living at home in Maple Valley with their parents. Later that same year, on August 22, 1900, at the age of 17 Years, 8 Months, 27 Days, Ida was united in marriage with Maxim Sim Burnash, son of Maxim and Marguerite (Champeau) Burnash, at Immanuel Ev Lutheran Church, Alpena, by the Rev. G. A. Mueller. Witnesses were Heinrich Adrian and Mathilde Neumann. To this union would be born eleven children, nine of whom would survive to adulthood. They made their home in Long Rapids Township, Alpena County, Michigan, where the family was engaged in farming.

In the 1930 census, Sim and Ida have sold their farm in Long Rapids and have moved to Flint and own their home at 1652 St John Street and Sim is working as a flagman for the railroad.

They would return to Alpena in their later years.

On September 2, 1943, at the age of 59 Years, 9 Months, 7 Days, the soul of Ida was called home to heaven. At some time during their marriage, Ida had converted to the religion of her husband, Roman Catholism. She received a Christian funeral and her mortal reamins were laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery.
