Funeral services for Teresa Kay (Barnes) Hassell will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Schoolton Cemetery in Seminole County.

Lifelong Cromwell resident Teresa Kay (Barnes) Hassell, 46, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Teresa was born to Norma Fay (Condict) and Eldridge Barnes on August 21, 1963, in Henryetta, Okla. She Graduated from Butner High School in 1981, and was a resident of Seminole County her entire life.

On March 8, 1986, she married Robert William Hassell Jr., and together they enjoyed 24 happy years of marriage. She enjoyed working as a baker in the Butner School Cafeteria, and loved spending time on her farm with her friends and family.

She is preceeded in death by infant sister, Sharon Lynn Barnes, and father, Eldridge Barnes.

She is survived by mother, Norma Fay Barnes, husband, Robert Hassell, and son, Tanner Hassell all of the home; daughter & son-in-law Paige and Raymond Kornelsen of Shawnee, mother-in-law Margaret Hassell of Oologah, Okla.; sisters-in-law Stena Lemke of Bonham, Texas and Janet Knight of Oologah, Okla., as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday June 2, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday June 3, from 9 a.m to 8 p.m. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday June 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah.

Pall bearers are Jeremy Groves, Jeremy Charles, Lee McElroy, David Lemke III, Ben Knight, and Tim Condict.

Honorary Pall Bearers are Stan Davis, Lamar Hagerty, Jeff Brewer, and Landon Brown.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Revs. Carl Whitfield and Charles Jones.
