Dillon - Forrest E. "Kelly" Herr, 81, a native of Bannock and a lifelong resident of this area, died suddenly at his home here.
Mr. Herr was born Aug 16, 1879, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael S. Herr, pioneer residents.
He was a widely known and highly respected mining man and had taken part in the Alaskan gold rush at the turn of the century. With the exception of that trip and another mining venture in Nevada, he had spent his entire life in Beaverhead County.
Survivors include a sister, Cora Pendergast, Butte; nieces and nephews, and a cousin.
Funeral services in Brundage Chapel. Interment in the family plot at Mountain View cemetery.
