Clara Bowling Clemons, 86, of RR 03 Princeton died early Friday morning, June 4, 2010, at Belaire Health Care Facility, Gastonia NC. Born August 24, 1923, in Lovern, she was the daughter of the late Phyrus Mack Bowling and Stella Francis Wiley Bowling. Mrs. Clemons was educated in Mercer County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of the Green Springs Baptist Church near Elgood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Clemons, a daughter, Shirley Clemons White along with three siblings; Ray Bowling, Morris Bowling and Mildred Thorn. Survivors include, Her daughter and son in law, Stella E. "Libby" & Dan LaDuke of Gastonia NC Son in law Ward H. White Jr. of Speedway Grandchildren Aimee Staley & husband Gerald Don LaDuke Jason White & fiancé Jill Richmond Derek White & wife Cindy 1 great grandchild Harrison Staley Siblings Ralph Bowling & wife Juanita Doug Bowling & wife Pat Nina Kerry & conpanion Loren Beard Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M.
