Garnelle Downing, was the son of Lucretia Downing. He was born out of wed-lock,abt 1858. He sometimes used the last name of O'Brien, which may be a clue to his father. He lived and died around Mt. Comfort, and Hancock Co., Ind. It is not believed that he married. The following is taken from the newspaper following his death.
