Caroline Adams Klenke was born October 16, 1S94 in Ogden, daughter of William Henry and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Watson Adams, She resided in Ogden all her life.
Active in the L.D.S. Church, she served as a missionary to the Western States Mission in Albuquerque, N.M. and Denver, Colo., from 1921 to 1923. She worked in various ward organiza¬tions in both the 9th and 17th Wards. She served on the Weber Stake Sunday School Board, on the Mt. Ogden Y.L.M.I.A. Board in the Bee Hive Department, She was one of the first District Bee Hive Supervisors of the Y.L.M.I.A. presiding over the Mt. Ogden, Ogden, Weber, North Weber and Davis Stakes. She also served on the General board of the Y.L.M.I.A. in the Bee Hive Department. Also as a teacher of the Relief Society Block Teachers of the l7th Ward.
She was active in musical organizations many years. Ward Choirs, Ogden Tabernacle Choir, Ogden Symphonic Choir, of which she served on the Board of Directors; also organizer and President of the Railroad Boosterette's Ladies Chorus. She sang in a quartette in the Western States Mission.
She was employed in the O.U.R.&D. Co. Freight Department for many years, and had been secretary to four different Agents. She was Secretary to the Ogden Railroad Boosters Assn., secretary to the Golden Spike Organization, and the O.U.R.&D, Safety Committee.
On November 21, 1942 she was married to Henry George Klenke. Later they received their endowments in the Logan Temple.
Besides her husband she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John R. (Ethel) Salmond, Mrs. W. Gibb (Rose) Stewart, Mrs. David W. (Dorothy) Beede, Mrs., Merrill A.(Eva) Youngberg. Ray T., Alfred W., Jack R. Adams. A step-daughter, Mrs. Mark (Olive) Tillotson, and two grandchildren.
