In 1928 they bought a farm in the Upper Lord's Valley, Lincoln Co., WA. They stayed and raised their family here.
Lydia belonged to the National Grange; was a member of the Bluestem Grange; the Washington Wheat Growers Association; Harrington Community Church and served as Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a loving mother and friend to many.
She passed away at the Lincoln Nursing Home in Davenport, WA.
