Van K. Dennis, 62, of Canastota, formerly of Fabius, DeRuyter and Stockbridge died Wednesday surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a member of the Irish Gulf Hunting Camp. Van was employed by ARCOM Labs. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Davis. Surviving are his wife Diana (Tytler); his children, Karene (Hal) Fuller of Camillus, Melissa (Tom) Stevens of Blossvale (from his marriage to Janeen Z), Chad (from marriage to Patsy D) (Tiffany and her son Wyatt) Dennis of South Colton, Brooke Dibble (from his marriage to Diana) of Canastota; his sisters, Ruth Fuller of East Syracuse, Betty Bailey of East Syracuse, Genevieve Duca of Cortland, Barbara Farley of DeRuyter, Kareen Bready of Endicott; his brothers, Clarence of Locke and Richard of New Woodstock, and four grandchildren, Courtney Fuller and Megan, Thomas, and Robert Stevens. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia, NY 13035. Burial will follow in Fabius Evergreen Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tait Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Hospice CNY 990 7 North Street Liverpool NY 13088.
