Gary Ronald Amos April 21, 1939 - May 30, 2010 Visitation for Gary Ronald Amos will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Arvin Cemetery. Gary was born April 21, 1939 in Pauls Valley, OK to Lem and Lucille Amos and he passed away May 30, 2010 in Bakersfield, CA. He attended and graduated from Arvin High School. Gary was an Auto Body and Frame repairman who took great pride in his work. In his later years he went back to school and took college courses and became an Auto Body Vocational Instructor. He also liked to fish, hunt, metal detect and spend time with his family. He was a loving husband, dad granddaddy and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Johnson Amos; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Melody Amos; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Angie Amos; daughter, Kendra Amos; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Brittany Amos; grandchildren, Kaleb, Lacee, Karah, Morgan, Jake, Hailey, Dylan and Conley Amos; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Sam Blankenship as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
