Son of Nehemiah and Sarah (Sill) Hubbard. Husband of Ruth (Coleman) Hubbard. He was a Capt. Of Teamsters during the Revolutionary War. His brother Nehemiah was Asst Quartermaster for CT during the war. Brother Elisha was in the CT Line , captured at NYC, imprisoned in British prison ship, Jersey, later a sugar factory, then exchanged, enlisted then with Washington's Continental Line. Isaac's Brother David fought in the CT Line. Isaac's youngest brother , Jacob, was slso a teamster with him. After the war Isaac removed to Oneida County, NY, in the area of Hollands Patent, NY, and when much older came to Ashtabula, OH, where his 3 sons, Henry, Matthew, and William had developed what is now the CT Western Reserve of NE OH, which was land sold to Isaac's brother, Nehemiah, after the Revolutionary War.
